Moon, shadow.

Halloween has me thinking about shadows.... The connotations typically being darkness, the unknown, the unconscious mind. We are often afraid to peer into the shadowy parts of ourselves, afraid of what we might find there. But… how can we truly come to know ourselves if we do not explore the shadow? Looking inward with compassion and empathy, we are more able to accept ourselves as we are, to see ourselves as whole. 🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑 Think of the moon, a shadow, a soothing reflection of the sun, illuminating our path through darkness.

“Lift the veil that obscures the heart, and there you will find what you’re looking for.” -Kabir
